Newcastle Outskirts Circular Walk

Leisurely 8 mile walk covering the Town Moore, Jesmond Dene, Ouseburn

  • 20 British pounds
  • Central Station, Newcastle

Service Description

This leisurely circular walk of around 8 miles, starts and finishes at Central Station, Newcastle. Heading to the Town Moore via Pink Lane, Stowell St and St James' Park, we'll look at some historic and interesting sights. We'll then cross the Town Moore and have a coffee before heading into Jesmond Dene. Walking all the way through this beautiful valley and taking in the sights, we'll head into Ouseburn to learn about this buzzing area of Newcastle that's steeped in the industrial revolution. After another break, we'll head down to the Quayside to take in the fantastic River Tyne and her magnificent bridges. It's then a brief climb back up to Central Station. This walk will be done at our own pace and we'll have a couple of breaks on the way. Please wear appropriate walking footwear and consider clothing appropriate to the weather conditions. Please Note - I'm not a professional historian, but I do have a passion for local history. My walks will be more in line with being a relaxed and informal learning experience and an opportunity to meet like minded people. All accompanied children under 16 go free! ***Disclaimer*** All participants attend at their own risk. Tyneside Life will not be held responsible for any accident, injury, or loss, or damage to property.
